Wyrd bið ful aræd

Also called the Heimskringla, an ancient codex that prophesizes many events that at times have come to fruition, some seeming to either not happen or have been interpreted incorrectly. All written by one man who was burned at the stake for being a truthsayer, his name lost to the flames that took his body, as were many of the books he scribed.

“A codex is composed of many books be them small or large; a book is of one scroll. It is called codex by way of metaphor from the trunks of trees or vines, as if it were a wooden stock, because it contains in itself a multitude of books, as it were of branches.”
